Hit pause with 5-minute mindfulness

Feeling overwhelmed from work, life, or the state of the world around us? It may be time to hit pause and reconnect with yourself, and mindfulness can help us do this.

Mindfulness is a simple practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgement, and it's been shown to reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional regulation.

The best part is that you don't need hours of meditation to reap the benefits. Even just a few minutes of mindful practice can make a big difference.

Here are 3 simple mindfulness practices that need only 5 minutes of your time:

😌 Mindful Breathing: Close your eyes and take 5 slow, deep breaths, feeling your belly rise and fall. Focus on your breath as it enters and leaves your body.

🧘 Body Scan: Close your eyes and gently bring your attention to each part of your body, noticing any sensations without judgement. If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the body part you're focusing on.

🦶 Mindful Walking: Find a quiet place to walk. As you walk, pay attention to the sensation of your feet on the ground and the movement of your body, noticing each step.

Consistency is key with mindfulness practices. Try incorporating them into your daily routine, even for just a few minutes at a time. Over time, you'll likely notice a positive impact on your overall well-being.
