Therapeutic Places To Visit in Singapore

Whether it’s recovering from a hectic work week or uplifting our spirits, we all need a little self-care from time to time. The World Health Organisation defines self-care as caring for one’s physical, mental and social health. This involves engaging in activities or visiting places that are enjoyable and restore our energies.

Everyone’s definition of a therapeutic place differs – some like being surrounded by nature, some relish a peaceful and quiet sanctuary, while some crave adventure.

With that said, here are my favourite therapeutic places to visit in Singapore.

1. Bollywood Veggies

Love vegetable farms but don’t have the space to grow your own produce? Make a trip down to Singapore’s very own organic farm in the Kranji district  – Bollywood Veggies! Take your time to explore the spacious and lush environment, where healthy and organic produce like kang kong, pumpkin and papaya are grown. Better yet, enjoy a farm-to-table dining experience at their Poison Ivy Bistro which offers local favourites like nasi lemak, chicken curry and vegetarian thali. There’s nothing like getting some food and greenery for the soul.

2. Superpark

Remember how you used to spend hours in playgrounds without a care in the world? You can do all that and stay sand-free at Superpark, an indoor playground for kids and young-at-heart adults like us! It’s so liberating to bounce on the trampoline, ride down the tube slide, or whizz through the air on the flying fox.

3. Stella Seaside Lounge

Foodies looking to enjoy a good meal with lovely views of the sea should check out the outdoor decks of Stella Seaside Lounge. A treat for the senses, soak in the beachy vibes as you enjoy the food and sea breeze. This is the ideal spot for chilling with friends or relaxing with a glass of wine, some pasta, and a book.

4. Changi Bay Park Connector

Sign on a lamp post at Changi Bay Park Connector that states "Let's look out for each other. Being careful is wheel-y nice."

There’s something therapeutic about taking a leisurely stroll or cycle down a park. Being surrounded by greenery and fresh air can do wonders in soothing our souls. As you do so, admire the scenic waterfront views and punny posters (e.g. ‘You otter keep to the left’!) lining the Changi Bay Park Connector.

5. Littered With Books

Bookworms will love the warm and intimate atmosphere of Littered With Books, housed in a two-storey shophouse. This bookstore offers a curated range of genres like crime, fantasy, non-fiction and sci-fi books. Book browsing has never been more fun and interesting as you discover exciting worlds and meet new characters.
